COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Thank you for registering for the 2021 Western States Planning Conference.  The conference committee as well as APA Arizona and Western Planner boards look forward to welcoming you to an enjoyable, educational and safe conference.

From the beginning, we have shared the expectation and assumption that conference attendees (in-person) would be fully vaccinated.  As it is not possible to require proof of vaccination, we will assume and expect that all attendees are either fully vaccinated or wear a mask.  Masks are optional for all guests who are fully vaccinated.  Masks are not required for any Marriott associate who has been vaccinated (showing proof to HR). However, masks are required for any Marriott associate and guests who have not been vaccinated.  

The indoor spaces we are utilizing for the conference have double or more the capacity of our attendance to create social distancing to the maximum extent possible.  Each banquet table will be set for a maximum of five or six attendees (depending upon our final registration numbers), and each session space will be set for a maximum of two attendees per classroom table. The concurrent session rooms will be set for a maximum of 75 attendees, again to allow for social distancing to the maximum extent possible.

The continental breakfast buffet served on Monday and Tuesday mornings will be serviced by a member of the banquet staff, utilizing single sided buffets with plexiglass shields.  All other meals will be plated service.

We take your safety and our own seriously and we do not want this conference to be a super spreader event as we enjoy networking and learning from each other.
