SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS

Support original planning content

Western Planner generates original relevant articles written by planners for planners on relevant issues with practical solutions for the problems of the West.

Support cross-state coordination and networking

The Western Planner’s focus region is the Western United States, where representatives from each state liaison between state planning organizations and the Western Planner. These board members direct the affairs of the Western Planner and provide cross-state coordination. At our conferences, between 30-50% of attendees are from out-of-state, forming connections and opportunities throughout the West.

Support professional development for planners with mentoring, networking, monthly job blasts, and a broad regional job resource for planners

Many states struggle to support their more rural planners. That's where we come in. Join with us to bring together an expansive network of planners cross the West who understand and respond to our unique issues. WP is actively working to connect people and open up opportunities. Help your communities find qualified planners that understand the unique challenges planning.

Support WP initiatives (e.g., forming the Tribal & Indigenous Planning Division)

Through the WPR Board and network reaching across the Western States, WP continues to work on initiatives which benefit planning in the West. Most recently, several WPR board members played essential roles in the reformation of the Tribal & Indigenous Planning Division.

Support regional planning conferences relevant to small city, town, county, tribal and rural planners

Western Planner has held conferences since 1981, where we elevate small town, county, rural and tribal issues. 75% of Western counties are rural and tribal nations are foundational to the fabric of the West. The recognition and integration of these many communities is the way forward for the West. WP conferences are the can’t-miss event for planners and citizen planners.
