At the end of the month, FEMA Region 8 is hosting a virtual G-318: Local Hazard Mitigation Planning Workshop. This training, focused on how to write a Hazard Mitigation Plan, is open to any and all involved in the development of their local HMP, including local government officials, emergency managers, land use planners, engineers, and floodplain administrators, those involved in the development of other local plans or those who just want to learn more about hazard mitigation planning. There will be two identical sessions for each module- attendees may register for whichever session from each module better fits their schedule. Successful completion of the training (one session from each module, for a total of four) has been approved for 12 CECs by ASFPM (or 3 for module). We will be offering the same about of CMs for those who are AICP.
Audience
Anyone in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming involved in the development of their local hazard mitigation plan, including local government and tribal officials, emergency managers, land use planners, engineers, and floodplain administrators. This course is also open to those involved in the development of other local plans and want to learn more about hazard mitigation planning. We encourage personnel involved in comprehensive planning, capital improvement planning, and/or the development/administration of land use regulations to attend.
