On behalf of APA AK, I am excited to share 3 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS on the 2021 Alaska VIRTUAL Planning Conference:

  1. AVAILABLE NOW: Preliminary At-A-Glance Agenda – Check out the preliminary agenda, attached and online, where you will find over 15 CMs available on a range of planning topics and stories from planners and partners across Alaska and beyond. And, back by popular demand – Planning Commissioner Training, presented by Municipality of Anchorage Planning Director, Michelle McNulty, AICP, is happening on February 21st!

  2. REGISTRATION is OPEN – Do not miss out! CLICK HERE to register for the 2021 Conference at dramatically reduced prices.

    • Three Day Conference Pass (Feb 23 – 25) = $75

    • One Day Conference Pass (any day of your choice, Feb 23 – 25) = $35

    • Planning Commissioner Training (Feb 21) = $100

  3. APA AK PLANNING AWARDS – Call for Nominations OPEN NOW – The Awards Program is an opportunity to celebrate the efforts of planners and citizens who make Alaska communities stronger through planning. The Program is open to all planners who reside or practice in the state of Alaska. Entries from private practice offices, non-profits, planning agencies, federal, state, and local governments, environmental agencies and landscape architects are encouraged. Complete the nomination form, attached and found online here.

Deadline for submissions: 5:00 PM, Friday, February 12th! Check out the APA AK Awards page for 2020 winners.

We received many excellent proposals and look forward to working with each of you on the important details, things you need to know as a presenter, and some exciting ideas we have for bringing presenters together to create a more robust experience for all.
