ABOUT THE TOWN OF WINTER PARK
The Town of Winter Park, CO is an authentic, active mountain town in the central Rocky Mountains with around 1,000 full-time residents and many second homeowners. With the Winter Park Resort only two miles away from the downtown core, tourism is a major industry in the community. Town growth is expected over the next several years with new development projects and a focus on affordable housing.
The Town of Winter Park is seeking an individual to provide planning support services for current and long-range planning projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the initial point of contact for Planning Department requests
• Assist in subdivision reviews, rezoning applications, landscape plan review, architectural design review, and development improvement agreements
• Provide information on sign permits, banner permits, and special use permits
• Assist in zoning code enforcement
• Prepare and distribute meeting packets for public meetings
• Prepare legal postings, notifications, and site visits while assisting the Building Department as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s in Urban Planning, Geography, or related field of study and two years of planning experience in a municipal setting
• AICP Certification preferred
• Experience with GIS Programming
• Must have excellent management, time management, planning, organizational, administrative, computer, and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of government processes and responsibilities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Starting salary from $62,543 to $87,560 dependent on qualifications
